Day 45 / Tag 45 April 26 Going round in Ao Nang

My favorite breakfast sometimes:
Ham and Cheese croissant sandwich and a 3-in-1 coffee, all for 42 Baht (1,15 Euro) at 7-Eleven,

I take the scooter for a short foto tour around Ao Nang,  impressive limestone mountains,

longtail boats

and mosques

Stop for a Coke at a restaurant close to a longtail Pier, as it starts to rain again. Based on my personal experience of two days ago, this will take a bit more than an hour, so I just order something to eat and let the movie pass along in front of me. Lots of day trip tourists coming back from their boats, soaking wet.

When the rain stops after an hour and ten minutes as expected, I have a real coffee in the shop next to the restaurant. My waitress is the young daughter of the owners, she takes a long time to bring my Capuccino, works hard not to spill a single drop,

I ask her for her name in Thai, Kun chue?, she says her name is Loonee. I present myself in Thai, Chun chue Folka.

She doesn't speak English, when I ask for a price she shows it to me on a calculator.

Her mother and I try to teach her some essential phrases like "thank you", "welcome" etc.
Dad sits beside on a garden chair and smiles all the time. We exchange phrases in Thai and English, all of us having fun together, most of all Loonee.

As I say: smile, and the world will smile back at you (exceptions apply)...

At the dive center Kon Tiki I stamp yesterday's two dives with Fon at Koh Phi Phi, say Good bye until next time, and return the rental scooter at my hotel. Equipment is not yet bone dry.
Last massage and a haircut in Thailand, small Chang at a live music Country&Western bar on the way home,
Longhorn Bar, Ao Nang

pack my bags and sleep early, taxi is scheduled for 5am tomorrow...

See you under water
