Boat to Bunaken.

24 hours, from 10am in Sabah til 10 am in North Sulawesi...
jakarta was tight, Air Asia arrived from KL with 40 minutes delay as usual, I had 1 hour 50 minutes left for Immigration, changing terminal and check in. Everybody was really helpful, Immigration took me out of the waiting line and I was done in 5 minutes, smiling Indonesians called and opened the lift to 2nd Level for me, the Terminal Bus stopped again to pick me up, and I could pay my extra 4 kilo of luggage in Euro. Ran to to the gate, and guess what, I was first on the plane, leaving with, you guess it, 40 minutes delay....
North Sulawesi is christian country, churches and crosses everywhere.

Trees and flowers differ a bit from Malaysia, the morning was bright and comfortable, with a cool breeze.
The Boat to Bunaken takes about one hour, and after 24 hours I arrive at my new place for the next five days: Bastianos Dive Resort Bunaken.
It is different to Scuba Junkie Mabul Beach Resort: Mabul was an international crowd, guests changing most every day, colorful scenes and talks up at the bar, music evening, eco sustainability, turtle hatchery, you sit where you want and have meals with who you like and want to talk to.
You take care of yourself and others, others take care of themselves and you.
I tried to put it this way: it feels like a huge liveaboard with friends, with the Jetty being the dive deck.
Bastianos Bunaken, on the other hand, is a place where you drop your stuff and get pampered. Tables layed out with cloth, and the waiter has a seat at a table for you. You don't just sit anywhere. Travel alone? Eat alone. Travel in a group? Eat in a group. Everything a bit more decorated, more stylish, more "Do you wish some more water, Sir?"
I miss my lovely crazy staff in Mabul...
The WiFi is a desaster, it will take me three days to upload the fotos for the Sipadan post (Actually, I will have finished that in Lembeh...)
Changing from Chang and Tiger to Bintang at the resort bar (more on that later),

and sleep. Was a long trip...
See you under water
