Day 51 / Tag 51, Tue. May 2, Day off? Hahaha. No, go diving!

On my originally booked dive schedule, this day was a no-dive-day, but, man, come on, we have so much fun under water here, after yesterday's last dive with Azrul I booked 3 additional dives for today, two in the morning and one nightdive.

Kat, the most friendly and welcoming resort manager asked, if I request anybody special as guide.

"No," I say, "nobody in particular, as long as it's Dionne." She obviously likes that kind of humor and we both laugh loud. And so I dive with
Dionne and her shadow Jessica again.

Here are some fotos of the Turtle Hatchery and Rehab Station I took in the morning (like to get up early), these folks are really into sustaining ocean life, and it looks as if they are doing a great job. One of the reasons that made me book my stay at Mabul and Sipadan with Scuba Junkie's...
Turtle Hatchery. Nest with about 150 eggs, due to hatch after around 80 days
The Rehab Tank

Gotta love turtle hatchlings. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to see a nest hatch and be released to the ocean.

The Hatchery. Adopt a turtle for only 100 Ringgit (~ 20 Euros) and you get a T-shirt with this cool Logo

On the dive menu today:
Kapalai Midreef, Seaventure's Housereef, and Froggies for the nightdive.

Slugs again

Slug family

Oh, I need some rest...

Moray eel at Seaventure's Housereef
Don't know your name, but you are a cute one, tell ya

Reef Pipefish

Got eggs?

Them so cute...

Seaventure's can get eery sometimes...

Leopard skin, Versace lips, you must be a harlequin sweetlips, honey...

For the nightdive: Actually, the dive site Froggies means you walk into the water from the jetty diveplatform, turn left towards the Borneo Divers jetty, and return. That is a beautiful small reef, fantastic snorkeling at daytime and putting up a different show after the sun goes down.
The fotos are not that spectacular, hunting octopus and flatworm acting like a spanish dancer is on video only, so hang on and hold the line.
(I am editing these posts on Bunaken, Indonesia, no way to upload any video on this wifi network..)

Will this old man ever get ready for the dive?

Who's asking? Done already!
Razorfish on a sea urchin

Spinning your fine spider web?

Juvenile Moray eels

Stingray, blue spotted

Now, that's what I call blue spots!

Another great Diving day at Scuba Junkie' Mabul Beach Resort!
Have no words to tell how much I love to dive with this through-and-through positive girl
I was concentrating on the dive, average depth around 11 m, coming up with 60 bar after 73 minutes, my new personal benchmark. Spent my two guides a beer on that.
Meanwhile, Evelynne has finished her first OWD course and issued her first certification. Congratulation! Have a Tiger!

See you under water
